How to Make a Cannon!

I haven't posted in a while so I thought I'd show you all how to make a cannon. very simple but also efficient. it is a working cannon and not just for show.

Here it is:

I did this in 1.5_01, but I doubt updates would change how they process.

Not necessarily. If you know what your doing its easy to make it shoot other things. Other blocks will not work obviously, but you can shoot mobs, and even yourself. My cannon uses about 68 pieces of TNT and will shoot anything you put in it off the map.

Meh. Its a decent tutorial for showing people how to just build one, but I can rarely commend a tutorial for something that doesnt really teach how it works, so that people will understand what they are building and why.

Credit due, not many people actually understand why cannons work.

Out of the range of chunks I have loaded. I can imagine it shoots it at least 500+ blocks, as the majority of the time you cant even see anything come out. I used to believe that it would just obliterate the projectile, but I did manage to see it flash across the screen when I fired it once.

No offense, there is a better way to do this, even make the TNT go further and make it automated process and you won't need to punch the TNT at the end of the launcher / cannon.

Sorry to make you feel bad for your first tutorial, sometimes there is better ways of doing it. I'll post it when I have time.
