The gun is actually stable and no it doesn't, it braces you. You should go out and shoot a pistol to see the different.
She's holding the grip (tightly) with both hands and her forefingers are near the trigger and the clip release. Her finger is not on the trigger which shows that she knows a golden rule about weapons. Moving the gun out straight will allow you to shoot the weapon clearly and out in front of you. At the same times, when fired, the gun will not knock back and she will not get the dreaded 'slider bite'.
If she was holding a Desert Eagle, the gun would give off a good recoil, but she braces herself. Also, she could use a .357, .44, or a .50E and it wouldn't just smacked her in the face as the pistol is designed like an assault rifle and each bullets gives off certain recoils and stuff.
