permissions not working

everytime i try to promote some one it says "some groups do not have a rank defined, some commands are disabled" plz help if you know whats wrong

Hmmm, I am guessing you config file isn't configured... try edditing the config file of the plugin you are using.

he means your permissions file is F'ed up. How do you add people to groups to your permisions? Do it manually, open the file and insert the names with the group, here is an example <player group="5" name="shadowlt"/>
