Stick with the first one and scrap the second.

Work a little more with the lines ( Arc them a bit to create a sort of magma feel to it )
A little pentooling with a 1px brush would help a little around the focal.
For some reason this looks like it would be a good B&W tag.

the render fits the background perfect, but the "x" type thing ruins the flow.
it also feels really empty on the left.

this would look good with a little pentooling.

Actually it's my stock coz I edited it to perfection

It feels flat so if I were you I'd work on losing whatever is making it look flat and get some more depth and contrast.
