You're spending too much on parts. Go lurk around slickdeals.net and find parts you want.

lol, might i add that amd is not too good, you guys honestly think it has six full cores? well no, it doesnt, the last two are only virtual. thats why intel 6 core are worth over 600 dollars. if i were you, i would get intel 2600k, i have been very happy with it

For the build itself it's quite standard and I don't see too much overkill in any single area.

I would probably either up the GPU to a 6950, or reduce the ram to 6GB and the CPU to maybe a 1050T.

I cbf going into great detail or finding prices at the moment.

To people saying it's overpriced, i'm actually willing to pay more then that, this computer is going to be the computer i'm going to start my career with. I don't want it to be too overkill, but i don't want it to be sluggish either, also i might rebuild it with an intel processor because AMD runs pretty hot

You have it backwards, intel runs hot, AMD doesn't AMD's max temp rating is 65C while intel can allow temps into the 80s-90s

Problem is, if ur doing computer programming and u make a fatal error with ur C++ coding, u could end up wiping out ur harddrive info.
I suggest start off with a fast and reliable computer.

Sounds like a fortune, but probably reasonable for the parts

Actually it's kinda a bit waste of money. Just go to Sear's or Best Buy and buy a computer there. Don't make ur own, it really isn't the smartest choice. Mass production is always cheaper, trust me.
