i have a RAT set up and it works, but why do people say use no-ip servers to host? i used my ip address and the port i forwarded and it works fine. is it because i only tested it with people on my network?

So you used a address like this
    192.168.2.(some number here)

Because if it looks like that, it's your local ip and it won't work on others
