So after I close down CA, I've always had the music continue to play. Well, just now I went to stop the process, which it did, but look what I found. Right before the process stopped, there was an error message saying that Engine.exe was in use, the second time however, it closed. Here's an image. No, there are no other games besides Nexon's on my computer. Yes, there have been, but I have uninstalled and deleted those files/folders. If PnkBstrA is stored anywhere else on my hard drive, I haven't checked yet. Also, one of Nexon's other games, Mabiniogo (I don't remember the spelling), was installed. I uninstalled it, but there was a file remaining in the folder, npkcmsvc, not only did it remain there, but was running in the process menu. Interesting, anybody have any explanations?

I always have that process running, not sure what it does though. Oh BTW Combat Arms is the only Nexon game I've installed.

I didn't think they used them punkbuster either, but someone else posted that they found punkbuster to be running on their computer. Now, I have downloaded from other MMO sites as well, one being IjjI.com, which could be the culprit, but I thought they used Game-something-or-other. But if anyone feels like checking their PC.

Yes, I did download Warrock, but I don't remember if I ever actually installed it, I can't recall. Oh well, anyway, thanks for the help

The only Hacks that I downloaded, I haven't actually opened up yet (unzipped them). And if it is within these hacks, then other users might find it as well. Besides, it's only been after I've closed CA and went into the Process menu to end Engine.exe cause the music gets annoying.

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\ Thats where the Apps located and theres a readme in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\LogFiles\PunkBuster

Did you download any fake bypasses or hacks recently, its probably a lame coded keylogger, in my opinion

guys lol if u ahve any game that has punkbuster pnkbtsra.exe will always be running unless u uninstall pb. Cuz pnbktsra.exe does is look at what sites u go to and registrys and it helps determine if ure a hacker if ure on a hacking site or sumthing its like a monitor xD

Punkbuster doesn't do that. (The sending out info part, it has no internet access rights on my firewall)
If you installed Call of Duty 4, you probably have that.

Well i used to have it. I have ca, But. I also used to have warrock. It could be because you downloaded warrock and you forgot to uninstall it. Check to see.

COD4 Demo was installed awhile back, but I never played online. I really am thinkin' it's from another MMO. Also, I don't think I ever installed WarRock, nor was able to run WarRock. I'm pretty sure it was giving me install problems, so it's possible to be from that Partial Install.

FOUND A LOG
There were two applications, PnkBstrA, and PnkBstrB, both with txt files located in the WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\Logfiles\PunkBuster. These were, of course, Logs. Right where they should have been, if it wasn't my computer. The logs had dates and times, during and after CA's update patch, when I was looking for other things to do till the servers came back up.

well i guess it only cheks ure comp and registrys for hax; but they can check where you have bee on the internet on temp folders and ure internet folder
