    A bit confused... x.x

Okay,so Iv'e spent the past couple of days learning c++ and reading a book by charles petzold on the windows api.

Iv'e got pretty far in a couple of days, as far as I'm aware Iv'e picked up on things pretty fast, the c++ tutorials I was following took me all the way to polymorhism and right through object oriented programming such as classes and structs,

As I was reading the book by charles petzold,he made a statement "Noone really memorizes the code for making a window using the windows api, they just copy code of an exsisting program and make the relevant changes" and that just made me think, Making a visual program using c++ and the windows api is so much harder than in another langugage, such as vb.net, why would people bother using c++, I understand that visual basic is more limited in some ways then c++, and that it teaches bad programming habits, but its also been said that any language is just as powerful as another, you just have to know how to utilize the language, So if visual basic.net is alot more user friendly, easier to understand ect,Why are people so prelevant on c++?

I guess that's my question,Iv'e heard people flame vb coders saying they don't know the code that lies behind the buttons thats premade ect,but if c++ programmers are copying and pasting, I guess thats the same kind of thing.

Why would you only learn C++ for hacking? Learn C++ because you WANT to learn it, not because you JUST wanna hack.

And seeing how all your projects are either VB projects(nothing against VB!) or hacks, you probably learned C++ For hacks..

OP: I think what he says is complete stupid、And if they do copy it it is probably from a program they already made themself, if you made it, you can copy it. Different from copy pasta somebody elses code。

    It's not really that hard.
I've used it once or twice and I know some of the code out of my head.

As I've stated in the past, stop stereotyping C++, it's not only useful for hacking..

Hacking has NOTHINGwhatsoever, to do with programming.
Unless you all forgot, hacking is website exploits, and not writing whatever applications.

VB are for those who wanna quickly fry their brain for a few bucks.
    C/C++ teaches good habits.
I'm sure a VB coder would fall asleep before he even wrote ten lines of code, unlike a C coder.

The C&P argument of your post, leads me to the conclusion that you're a horrible dog who enjoys licking other members in the ass to receive a thanks or +1 rep.

You know, i really try to be nice to you, but this is why everybody hates you. All i said was that the way you write is like that of VIRTUALDUDE. This is ridiculous. What are you two years old? If you are going to be disrespectful and rude like this, get out of here, because this is a c++ section that helps people grow in the art of programming. This is not a section to curse at people and name call and say the dirty things that are manifested in your stupid posts.

Also, I doubt you even know how to make a win32 gui application. If you did, you would know that retyping the window code every time you make a program is useless when you already know what it means because you can just paste it in and edit the settings to your application's needs.

This means, that you are name calling and getting angry at people when you yourself don't even know what you are talking about.

I call that stupidity to the point of non termination.

Hacking has plenty to do with programming... and is very related to game cheating.
