Help with vac

Dear members, i have a banned account for hosting mods , but i started liberation 1.05 with my unbanned acc , but i didnt play , just in menu one sec . Will i be banned or does vac not runnin menu ?

I have a theory that you only get banned for using Liberation when you host public and someone reports you. I have no idea if that's correct, but it makes sense to me. Cause my friend got banned three weeks after he hosted mods on public. And I'm just fine after 6 months..
