    Hardware/Firmware problems. If your drive was previously modded, then the new XBL update could be causing this. Or your 360 could have just kicked the bucket.

    RRoD is caused by overheating of the chipset/GPU

    You can temp. fix it with the X-Clamp Fix (Tighter/New Clamp + Arctic Thermal Paste)
    OR
    You can get the motherboard "reflowed"
