It drops at random times? Cause mine drops at random times but not very often, mostly when I play the game at max settings, which I'm always playing at max.

the fpss will go down when youre shooting.

use shad. model 2, 800x600 res.

I did that and raised fpss from 40 to 160

it might be different actually. If you have a high end graphics card it will go down to its 2D clocks (slower speed than default 3d clocks) because the card doesnt need that much performance to run ava. If your on nvidia, go to nvidia control panel ---> manage 3d settings ---> on power management mode select prefer max performance

Try enabling Vsync. and close all un-wanted applications, if you have less than 4gb RAMs, un-install your 64bit and install a 32bit version, cuz 64bit takes up more RAMs than the 32bit one.
