When you rent your own server you call the shots with options like these:

Choose your own map rotation
Switch maps whenever you like
Name your own server
Kick offensive players to keep the peace
Configure PunkBuster exactly how you like it
You’ll run your server in one of two modes, ranked and un-ranked:

Ranked
In a ranked server all the soldiers you play with earn credit towards their career and as such you have to abide by a few rules.

Statistics are counted on the main Battlefield Play4Free servers
Team’s will be automatically balanced
Anyone can join your server
Un-ranked
This mode is for when you want to slow down and play exactly your way.

Statistics don’t count towards soldiers’ careers.
You can password protect your server to let only your friends in
Team’s don’t have to be balanced

yeah just trying to read up on cost, it doesnt rly cost 'that' much, just trying to find out how deep the settings go, if i can disable PB all together if i rent it and if there will be a 'overviewer' from EA adming me... once i get all the info (sent q & a email to one of the people i was gna go thru off that link) i will let you know anything more i find out

its just seems smart(on there behalf) to either have 1 or not let u totaly disable PB, but still waiting on email reply

I think .. it will be nice if we got a own server .. but
then we need hacks ,, cash and a good EA-admin protection system ;P
