    That happens to me... Well not defender, but firewall... I think Norton turns it off automatically for me to stop conflicts...

    Windows Defender doesn't get the job done naws. Install better antivirus software and a firewall and you won't have these problems.

    I have norton 360 full edition and it turns off firewall by itself.
    You can right click the sign of your norton and click "enable smart firewall"
    That should do it.

    Usually when you have a anti virus like norton it turns it off automatically i think.
