but there's no official light source, and that orange light near his waist kinda throws it off and distracts.

Although I do agree with +dd storm, the bright yellow line around his waste draws too much attention.

This is definitley your best man. Lighting is delicately done except for the odd yellow splotch near the render, but none the less, job well done mate.
