[Question] KB/s

I dont understand why my KB/s is so little itz just 80.1 when i was downloading combat arms, I have vista. I went to my cousins house and he had Windows XP and he had about 200 KB/s or more when he downloaded something that's weird i would like mine to be that high So can anyone tell me why mine is so low or how i can get it to b that high???

It really depends on what site you download from, usually if it's in america or canada, you will go fast, or depending on where you live, and you bought the connection from there, it should be fast there, but downloading from a different country will slow down your connection, in canada my download is about 1.2MB/Sec

Or it could be your anti virus that you have, some have the capabilities of reducing your download speed, For example, my friend has Norton 360 and when he has it on, its about 110/kbps but when he turns it off, its about 900/kbps

Just a thought, when your downloading somthing turn it off for that short amount of time.

Just when your downloading things, turn off your antivirus
and it wont take as long, then when you finish it, turn your antivirus back on

FFs, put a screeny of your anti virus on here, the main screen.. on the program, then ill tell you what to turn off
