    Backing Up Your Binds

Well it has crossed my mind, after seeing that release of the autoit script to copy and paste binds, that not a lot of you are aware of the ability to back up your config file.

After binding all your keys all you need to do is backup the config.cfg file in C:\Nexon\Vindictus\en-US\config\

If you were to accidentally unbind your keys by going to the options menu just replace your config.cfg file with the copy you made.

    TL;DR
Done binding? Backup config.cfg file! Fudged up binds? Use backed up config file!

I like backing up my cfg D:

Edit: With the cfg you don't even need to start the console, you can just start the game normally. It's portable too. Put it on someones elses computer and there you go, hax, no need to download winject or anything.

    Or you could simply use:

    Code:
    host_writeconfig
HelpStr: Store current settings to config.cfg (or specified .cfg file).
    	Flags:
    example:
    host_writeconfig backup.cfg

PS: Not sure if it works in Vindictus, but it does in many other source engine games.
Mainly here for Vindictus and Rotmg
    Source Engine ftw

You dont even need to use it, just exit the game and copy your config in en-US to a safe place.

So wait, before i quit the game, find that file and back it up? I just need to bind keys using console (bind x "cc_spawn_golden_ball 15 9999999) and then (if it works) back up .cfg file and just copy it back on before i boot up the game?

Well you as soon as you bind it you can back it up without leaving the game. Once entering the game, as long as you didnt open the options menu or you didnt crash, the binds will still be there. In case you did crash or open the options menu you just used your backed up .cfg and all your binds will be back.

It's also good if you wanna make multiple .cfg files for different things, like if you needed over 9000 keys for choosing your hair and the colors of your armor or whatever.
