v1, text doesn't really make it better.
C4D placement is decent. But render needs some more blending. Adjust the colors maybe.
I think it could also use some flow to the upper left, maybe sparkles or bubbles.

3px Hard Brush, possibly with Scatter 1000%. Alter the Brightness under Color Dynamics. You can also add Outer Glow to the layer. Play around with settings, possibilities are endless, just make sure it fits the tag.

The little stars behind these flowers are considered sparkles!

Also using hard brush 3px is not a good choice for making a sparkle effect .

Try looking through brushes to find some sparkle ones, my shit formatted , i would upload but .

As i said before , using 3px hard brush is useless

Use a real sparkle brush and don't scatter it when you don't need to..

And don't brush it in any place , just in places with good lighting source..

It's not useless. It allows you to create your own custom sparkle for more control.
With a sparkle brush you need to brush, erase, rotate, ... until you can be really satisfied.

Work. Could be tidied up in a few areas. Overall though it's looking pretty cool, with a bit more flow added to the C4Ds to match her the piece could be even better than it is now.

The biggest problem I'm having is that the brushing loses the colors when I smudge and it becomes plain...

using a glowing 2-3px soft brush is better .

Duplicate layer , smudge a layer , set to a suitable blending option , set it over the original layer , done.
