to be honest, in the IW_07.iwd there are a few more desert eagles besides the one used in game (weapon_desert_eagle_tactical_col.iwi) and one of them is the gold one that looks exactly like the CoD4 gold deagle but its not the same file
the textures are not organized at the same way if you understand what im trying to say
so i didnt really "copied" this "mod" from anyone and its not the file from CoD4

Believe me, I know this very well. The only thing that is different between the files is the grip, and the tactical attachments. Other than that its the same. He was saying credits needed to be given, even though you had said its the deagle from CoD4.
