Is it easy to Remove vid card?

Hey MPGH,
I’ve been thinking lot but i want to change my vid card (GeForce 9500M GS)
Using a Laptop so.
I did never replace a Videocard for another so i want to know if any1 else inhere allready done this be4? and i would like to know how,?

If i understood it right that youre using a laptop, it may not even be possible. Im having a Dell Vostro, and i can't change the vid card. Only expensive laptops feature exchangeable Components. (Except HDD / DVD Reader)

VERY few laptops have replaceable video cards, and those few laptops are VERY high end laptops. Chances are, you won't be able to replace it as the video card is embedded in the laptop.

I just read it's a laptop.
Remove the keyboard > remove some screws > unscrew the screws in the video card > pull it out > put the new one in > profit?

Hmm ok , but when i watch under my Laptop i see a few screws and next to them stay : CPU (processor) and RAM , Should the VGA card also have screws?
or should it be next to the CPU?

Yea i allready remove a plastic thing above my keyboard , and indeed there were some screws to remove the keyboard, i did’nt dear to go any further cause i dont have any expierence in operating an Laptop ^^

The GPU is embedded in the motherboard.

I don't know, its different for every Laptop. But the bigger problem is: Not all video cars will fit in that system. You need "M" video cards, so GTX460M (don't know if that exists, but if it does, its a laptop gfx card) and also, your power supply may not be strong enough. I wouldn't risk it, or just contact the manufacturer, and ask him wether its possible (thats what i did, and they told me its not)

its easier on a desktom, unscrew take old1, out put new1 in, screw
