Well, to pass the time you can do a number of things. If anything, DO NOT use the computer. Watching television is alright, but interactive pieces of media should be avoided as they over stimulate the brain.
If you are an adult you could walk outside to a local service station/24 hour restaurant and buy a burger. Have a look at the crowd at night time, it is completely different.
If you have a local mountain, in the early morning (NOT NIGHT TIME) climb it. Try to tire yourself out.
Bake, or cook a meal. If you have a collection of alcoholic beverages mix them together to try and create your own original drink. You can try the drink, of course. To make sure it tastes good, but don't get yourself drunk or even close to drunk. Excessive amounts of alcohol are the last thing you need.
If you smoke, take the tobacco out of a cigarette and replace it with tea leaves. Some people find smoking tea leaves relaxing, even though it does give you a mild stimulant 'buzz' (similar to the up-beat feeling you get when you're drunk).
Go jogging/cycling. I recommend cycling, as you can go further without tiring yourself out/fatiguing.
Go to the beach. Just lay on the beach and listen to the waves while watching the stars.
Just some ideas.
