    A Question to Atheists

    The Big Bang Theory
    The Theory Somewhat goes:
Somewhere between 18 and 20 billion years ago, all of the matter in the universe was compressed into a tiny space no larger than the dot on a page. This dot spun faster and faster until it exploded, thus creating the Universe and everything in it
    1. Where did all the matter in the universe come from?
    2. If this "dot" spun rapidly until it exploded., then where did the energy come from to start the spinning?

Also the theory also ignores the First law of Thermodynamics, which says:
"matter cannot be created or destroyed"

    Evidence for the Big Bang

The BBT is not about the origin of the universe. Rather, its primary focus is the development of the universe over time.
BBT does not imply that the universe was ever point-like.
The origin of the universe was not an explosion of matter into already existing space.

Your first mistake was thinking that the BBT is an origin theory.

    Secondly:
From quantum field theory, we know that something does indeed come from nothing: to wit, "vacuum fluctuations". In the simplest case, an electron, a positron and a photon can appear effectively out of nowhere, exist for a brief time and then annihilate, leaving no net creation of mass or energy. Experimental support for this sort of effect has been found from a number of different experiments. See, for instance, the Wikipedia page for the Casimir effect.

I can go on copying extracts from that source, but I'm sure you can read it for yourself.

Another problem with your theory is that you apply current logic to a distant past.

Another problem with this is your assuming that all atheists believe in the big bang theory.

I thinks its possible, but I don't believe in it, because there is no proof.

We apply current science. We use logic to argue against deities.

Atheism is not a belief system. It is the absence of one. The majority of atheists do accept scientific explanations, but that does not mean atheism is the acceptance of scientific explanation. You could be an atheist and believe the world is run by reptilian overlords if you'd like, or simply choose to accept no process at all to describe how our cosmos or humans came into being.

Here's another observation: Your whole first post is lifted from an argument made by a Christian apologist, including your questions and even the little tidbit about thermodynamics. This has been parroted by people in all sorts of variations for a while now and it is material more suited for aging religious relatives emailing each other junk with a subject of "RE:FWD:FWD:FWD: THE BIG BANG IS FAKE". You do not understand how the Big Bang Theory works and you do not understand physics, and I'm certainly not going to waste my time trying to teach you either of those or giving you explanations to that which you are clueless about in the first place. If you did understand either of those concept, you would know how incredibly wrong your borrowed statements are. If you want to learn science, open a book and start reading, but do not present arguments which you do not understand because the responses will be as equally meaningless to you. If you are genuinely curious about these subjects, I will be happy to supply reading material written by actual scientists.

Source of your post: The Big Bang: Scientific and Biblical reasons why it is not possible
(This seems to be the origin of argument, but I cannot say if they are the original authors)

By definition, atheism is the belief that God does not exist.

On Topic: As a non-atheist I'd just like to point out that these [s]debates[/s](Really, this forum doesn't have the ability to strikethrough...?) rants are very pointless and never get anywhere.

The only way to prove either side is by empirical evidence, and at this point, neither side has, be it scientists, philosophers, theologians, etc.

Also, I'd like to point out that faith is based on spiritual apprehension rather than proof, so starting threads like "A Question to Atheists" is very pointless.

    P.S.

An atheist searches for God like a robber searches for a policeman.

No, by definition Atheism is a rejection of the belief in the existence of deities. Atheism itself is not in the belief of anything.

    Reads argument,
sees that it states the big bang theory completely wrong,
    copy/paste's argument into google,
    finds source,
    laughs.

Do you kids actually expect to be taken seriously?

    Gravity created the big bang.
Don't ask me how, either. Steven Hawking made the theory, not me.
