the render looks better yes but...The rest looks really bad.

Do you just take images of fractals and post them behind the render and call it a background? o.O

Hmmm, when working with backgrounds start with a nice stock. Such as a landscape or video game landscape. For this, since the render is from Bionic Commando or whatever its called, just search for wallpapers of that game, and incorporate them as a background. Once you have that, THEN try blending in some c4d's if you like.
