Thing is that it can actually get you unbanned if you are lucky. The reason why is that XUID is generated from the primary network adapter and the order they are assigned when you install the OS is pretty much random.
As most laptops/some desktops has two internet adapters (WiFi + Ethernet) a reinstall could make the secondary adapter primary and vice versa.

Just like most 'fixes' and 'unban-tools' for aIW it's a very stupid and 'advanced' way to change a simple value/ the order.

I was banned a year ago and i tryed XUID make up and that ruined my MW2 becouse i could not play. MW2 could not connect to alter. Has I had another HD I installed windows 7 and MW2 on it and it sended me a new error mensage saying to reinstal MW2 I did it and it started working. I was not banned anymore!
