Good job dude
Hey,
I've been learning AutoCAD in school (Swedish Gymnasium, in the US i think that would be Jr. College) for the past 2 years and teaching myself Maya at home.
I often upload my creations on youtube, but I never get any feedback, so therefor I'm posting this here, hoping on some feedback, maybe some constructive criticism, please be aware that i hardly put any video editing in to my videos, i mainly focus on the actual modelling.
Some of the Noobier things i made, like the ladies wrist watch, i made when I had only had 1 year of AutoCAD, and then we only mainly knew how to do 2D.
Theres lots more on my youtube channel if you wish to watch some more stuff aswell as some videos from my learning proecess of Maya.
(got other vids on my channel from earlier progress of this model.)
Unfinished Project

Thanks guys
Its the comments and feedback that makes ya wanna keep on learning and see how far you can go, and make new and bigger things.
btw, about learning how to do these things, there are very beginner friendly tutorials out there to learn Maya, I would recommend
100+ Maya 3D Tutorials For Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced Users
In that site they let you take on whole projects from modelling, to animating, to finalizing it all, and they hold your hand the entire way.
I would also recommend a fellow youtuber which gives out great tutorials on how to use most of the tools and assets that you have in Maya.
‪deepfriedectoplasm's Channel‬‏ - YouTube
Those 2 are the only sources that i currently use while learning Maya at home.
As for learning AutoCad / CAD/CAM, for that you would need classes, the program isnt user friendly at all, but once you know how to use it, you can build anything you could ever imagine, everything from cars to buildings to small electronics, etc.
I'm currently taking courses that will basicly prepare me for becoming a Civil Engineer, tho I would rather work with making models for games and props for movies, its alot more fun, and almost no math, being an engineer, its all math and calculations and worrying about if it will hold or not.
while desining for games or movies, its all about how it looks.
(this you may notice from some of the weapons ive made, they look nice, but their not actually functional.)
Mh... I never used AutoCAD before, but I heard good things of it.
I think, that Maya and 3DS Max is better for the thing I do.
Can you post some renders what you made with AutoCAD please?
