guys ive really been considering getting 360 because ps3 seems so insecure now. used consoles here are much cheaper but theres considerable price difference between xbox 360 S and the normal one, which one do u guys prefer? i will most likely eventually be getting kinect. also is it true about netflix being accessable from xbox live if using an american account even if your in europe, and can i play with everyone still?

on another note, i only see a white and black consoles. is there a silver console? im very ocd about color, and my entire setup is silver so yes...

There is no silver console but you could pay for a custom casing
The Xbox360 S is smaller and it runs quieter than the original Xbox.
If you are getting an Xbox you might also want to look into investing in DLC

Sorry, but the 360 only comes in black and white. I have an Xbox 360 Phat (old), and it works perfectly fine. The Xbox S is simply a redesigned Xbox. It's barely any smaller, but comes with a WiFi adapter build in, along with being "kinect ready," when both consoles use and support it. I'm not sure about the Netflix question, but as for playing "with everyone," then yes.

EDIT: I also highly suggest you don't buy DLC from John Key, seeing as though you're wanting to save money, you'd probably be best buying DLC individually than in a huge bulk.

The Slim is about 25%-30% smaller. I took mine to a friends house to compare when I first got it. (he has a 360 elite)

The issues with RROD has been completely fixed in the Slim versions, so if you buy used, get the Slim. The older used versions have a much higher risk of hardware failure if they haven't been refurbished.

A new 360 Slim is $199 with 4gb internal, and is OK to start out with, but you will need a hard drive if you plan on multiplayer. You can buy a used SLIM hard drive for around $60 @ 250gb. But make sure it's for the slim, the older hard drives don't work with the new.

hmm i asked friend and said they have death problems too? are the old ones HDD's cheaper for same sizes? it would be wired anyways so wireless on slim model isnt too much of gain first one looks more promising.

With the Old Xbox Red Rings Are Possible in just a couple of months like for example heat but with the new xbox if your xbox gets to hot it will automatically shut down before any damage is done.

Yeah, I also have a friend who owns a Slim. He brought it over to my house, and we put it right on top of my old Xbox.
It shouldn't be called Slim at all, since there really is like no difference. Maybe an inch off the side? Yep.

called, they have two used 360. one is a Jasper, and falcon. the guy said he would hold jasper for me as it is apparently better. im also getting extended warranty for a year. just incase since i have to buy xbox live apparently, along with a 60GB drive apparently its only one in stock that is used. whenever warranty expires i suppose i will take case off sandpaper it then spray paint it silver.
