Which one is your favorite, and why?
Mine: Lord of the Rings
Harry Potter probably has the best story line, but Lord of the Rings has the best scenery and you never get bored..

I guess Star Wars is the best classic out ther. But Harry Potter is the longest series put into movies. And lord of the rings was just good.

Speaking about creative ability for these series:
-Harry Potter is a GREAT work, nonetheless, it is set to a world much similar to ours, and modern day society does exist.
-Star Wars is about the future. Cliche.
-Lord of the Rings (or Tolkien) created a separate world. Of course, same geographical characteristics, but come on, he created whole new races, new places, new EVERYTHING. Only a small part is used to describe humans, whilst Tolkien really takes the prize for the creative genius.
Speaking about reader-book relationship:
-Harry Potter just makes you want to keep reading. It's been seven fucking books, and as soon as I finished one, I expected the next one with huge enthuisasm. I even dropped a tear when Deathly Hallows ended. 'And his scar hadn't hurt for 19 years'. For fuck's sake.
-Star Wars... why even considered?
-The Lord of the Rings is great, just magnificent, but I believe it is too short. It doesn't use all of the suspense there was room for, and if Tolkien might've written 2 more books, before RoTK, it would've beaten Harry Potter. Nonetheless, he didn't.God is great, beer is good, and people are crazy.

I would have to say personally Harry Potter as I have loved Harry Potter since it came out. Star Wars and LotR are also very good but I haven't read the books for them
