ok guys i downloaded call of duty modern warfare 2 now when i press on the multiplayer in the main menu i get this !!

Also, from reading the console it seems like it couldn't connect to IW.net and thus the auth process failed to start/ messed up..

I do believe the console is running in the steam version as I have seen it a few times before when the game crashes. I think it only appears then as you obviously can't alt+tab to it or anything.
