All those veterans fought in pointless wars (unless those are WWII veterans, maybe there's even some WWI veterans left) that didn't even really involve US interests, but they were more about political influence (that's what Cold War was all about anyways, communism vs capitalism influence), thousands of soldiers died for a dumb cause, because some kind of people with beards in the higher positions decided that communism is evil and must not be spread to some 3rd world countries that none cares about (I don't know what Vietnam can be refered to, but it's definately not an advanced country), except the Korean War, that seems like a more serious case (as it was a communist nation invading a democratical country which threathened other democratical nations around etc., but when it's a civil war like in Vietnam, then it's just bullshit spilling of American blood).

Altought my opinion might not be 100% correct as I don't know every single fact regarding the small Cold War fighting where US and USSR went againist eachother by supporting the side with the same ideology as theirs (except in I think Afghanistan, where AFAIK CIA trained and supplied "future" terrorists).

In other words - US tries to be world police and they want to bring their influence everywhere they can, but other than that, US seems like a nice country (from what I've heard), when you're visiting it or when you're living there (as long as you don't live in neighbourhoods that have black and white people mixed, or just black people, I am definately not racist, but it's just that there's a lot of racism going on between whites and blacks and generally the biggest gangs of US are black gangs, altought whites usually have mafias which isn't any better, they're just as bad, but they usually don't go into petty crimes like mugging random innocent people).

I live in America, and it fucking sucks. We are taken over by the media, and raped by the government(not in a physical state, though others would say differently) I'm sorry, but I cannot agree with anything in this post, except about keeping trolls out of MPGH. Seriously, I would rather live in ALMOST any other country than America. You all say how were free and how we can do anything. That's only true on the blunt edge of the spectrum. If you go deeper into the core of everything, were about as free as China. As for Veterans, meh. They fought, they almost got killed, but luck decided to be on their side.

Little late to the party I suppose. Nonetheless, I can't help but feel a need to express my opinion's after reading some of the Hate, Not only toward's America but to others.

Yes, America is indeed a Great country. That does not excuse the fact there is a lot of problems, ie: Disgusting economic state, Pathetic Health Care system, Racism and An unbelievably corrupt Government - I could go on for days, But I think they are the main point's of interest. Then there is the overly-patriotic men and women, whom keep their eye's shut, Yet abuse, Harass and simply hate anyone who may disagree, and point out the flaws in every other country on this planet, Rather then looking at them-self.
Every country has problems. Every country has extremist. Every country has haters, But to act so immaturely you're country becomes the world's laughing-stock, You must realize someone has got to change. American by birth, myself, I have moved to another country in my late teens. Since then my eyes have opened, And I find it utterly disgusting when I see closed-minded people 'Defending' The U.S. by simply playing the 'Blame Game' in saying 'DURRRRRR Dem der turrerist dun tha' And so on, Fucking wake up!
