If you're picking between Toshiba and Dell, I'd suggest Toshiba for you.
Dell has the better high-end gaming laptops. But Toshiba's Qosmios match up to those.
As far as reliability, and durability over the years, Toshiba far outbeats Dell.

yea i saw a toshitba at office depot on sale for 750 had 2nd gen i7 6gb ddr3(or2) of ram and with 600 or 650gb of space i might go buy that this friday i was like oh
