Yes desktops are more customizable and can be added more features, they are more stable as well since they have much space to breathe with, but thats just if your going to replace a home computer and that you'd let others on it(unless its in your room). i think laptops are more private and can also be useful since you can transport them.
i wouldent recommended a desktop unless your a hardcore gamer. and if you want to get your FPS higher you need to get a better graphic card, FPS is all about the graphic card, and like i said you dont really need super powerful computer for it to be better. i still recommend a 500$ laptop.

Yeah but some laptops overheat,and you cant upgrade them,desktops are more ideal for gaming since a mouse>laptop mousepad,i know you can connect a mouse to it,but it's just better with a desktop

Mhmm, NVIDIA is best. + if you cant upgrade your laptops GFX card, then try to upgrade your desktop gfx card (only if your desktop runs smoothly with combat arms and if the fps is low) and if that dosent work, i recommend basicly going to bestbuy or w.ever and buying a 500$ laptop.

i really dont know, i dont know any laptops in any store (unless i check online and im too lazy) any laptops that have a range from 500$ - 600$ would be great, and should run Combat arms great with your (from what you said) good connection. and most laptops in stores have up to date gfx cards and processors. so theres nothing really to worry about. + a decent ammount of RAM is good aswell. like 4 GB of RAM ?

ok bud this is what u do build ur own comp just take a nwe cpu but cheap say 500 bucks then what u do is remove the graphics gard the ram and hardive

then buy sum alein ware ram try geting 6-8 gb ram then get a terrabyte hardive and get a AMD graphics card or for crisis get a aleain ware but my cpu is beast at 550 for a 4gb ram sum hd graphics card and a terabyte hardive for 550 bucks itz was a gateway
