Does anyone know a way to bypass the browser launcher?

I've been rummaging around for a way to do so, and nothing has cropped up. I've no interest in sidestepping the proxy, I just find browser launching irksome- and I know of a lot of others who feel the same. Just curious if there's anything out there for this yet.

It's probably an argument to the file (basically the file gets launched as '"executable.exe" -argument'), but I haven't been able to find it, even after various tries.
It would probably require reading the executable with a hex editor to find the argument.

Its most likely encrypted into the game 'client'. You will have to decrypt/unpack the game client since it is packed.

I've tried setting arguments with the asp includes that are executed via the site to launcht eh game's client, and have even tried setting the information to log me in as a different username, and none of it works. Whoever, and however they packed this bitch, they did a fucking GREAT job, because all the information i could find didn't allow me to do a fucking thing >.<

I would be very grateful for this because, currently, i have to launch the game in IE because when i try to launch it in FF it tries to have me redownload the game.

Also if any one has a fix for this problem, you would have my thanks forever.

Dragon Nest is packed with Themida. Finding command line parameters isn't hard at all. Attach your debugger to the process that creates the Dragon Nest process. Set a breakpoint on CreateProcess/ShellExecute(Ex). The lpCommandLine/lpParameters parameters, respectively, will contain what you are looking for.

What the hell are you talking about? The one that was posted on DNs was deleted almost immediately after. The only way to access it on DNs is via Google Cache. The ********e link from there contains a file that is a clear phishing attempt. Unless I'm missing something and we are talking about different things, there is no endorsed launcher on that site. If I'm mistaken, PM me a link so I can stop wasting my time on the one I'm planning on releasing.

^ is what I was talking about. (I don't suggest anyone download that, but clicking the link is fine) But on second glance your original post says IRC not IIRC. So that was a misunderstanding.


Anyway your link seems legit, no clue why it isn't posted on their website.

I will hold out on the one I was working on (just finished!) and work on adding multiclient to it.

To anyone who was looking for a browserless launcher, DNCP by Daman i=works fine.
