    Maplestory Jump Update

    This is not my guide. I just wanted to share this with you guys. Also, this won't be out for GMS for a while. Just making you guys anxious

    I will be posting the Legend update at a later date because that will make you giddy with excitement or at least it did to me... Days go by fairly slowly waiting for that patch @_@



    This patch is part of the three phases from the Jump! update. It’ll probably not be as big as Big Bang and Chaos.
    This big update will give MapleStory more class refinements and other new content. Why do I know that there will be more class refinements?

    Look at the picture above and you can tell that even in Korean, you can see some text at the top.
    In March there will be a patch named 역습의칼날 (Counterattack of the Blade), in April there will be a patch named 각성의주문 (The Spell of Awakening) and the last name of the patch that will be released in May is 질주의화살 (The Arrow of Speed).

    The Jump! update will start in March and end in May. The patch with the Warrior restructuring (also known as Counterattack of the blade) happened today so that leaves us with April and May.

    I believe that the Magician class will be revamped in April, because only Magicians use spells and magic. And in May the Archer class because they use arrows.

    What will happen to the Thief and Pirate class? I don’t know, but they deserve adjustment too. Time will tell.

    Counterattack of the Blade

    Today MapleStory has been updated to version 1.2.129 and there’s a lot of new content to play with.

    First of all, the three warrior adventurer classes (Fighter, Page, Spearman) and the Soul Master class have been restructured.
    Every Warrior and Soul Master got a free SP reset scroll in this patch.

    Please note that the following skill values are taken when the skill level is mastered.

    Swordman

    - Damage of Power Strike has been increased from 260% to 280%
    - Damage of Slash Blast has been increased from 180% to 220%

    Fighter, Crusader, Hero

    - The Power Guard skill has been changed to Power Reflection - For a period of time, you can reflect more than the damage taken back to the enemy.
    At master level, Power Reflection can absorb 30% damage from the enemy and reflect 500% damage back to the enemy for 180 seconds.

    - New skill has been added: Physical Training – Increases your strength and dexterity permanently.
    At master level, Physical Training permanently increases your strength and dexterity by 30.
    - New skill has been added: Self Recovery – Recover your HP and MP during combat for four seconds long.
    At master level, Self Recovery recovers 80 HP and 80 MP for four seconds.
    - Damage of Ground Smash has been increased from 300% to 320% and the amount of enemies it can attack has been increased from 3 to 4.

    [ Coma & Panic ]

    - Damage of Panic has been increased from 480% to 1000%.
    The amount of accuracy it can lower to an enemy has been decreased from -60% to -20% and the duration of the darkness effect has been increased from 9 to 30 seconds.
    The darkness effect from Panic can now affect boss monsters.

    2 combo counts is required to use Panic.

    - Damage of Coma has been increased from 400% to 620%.

    1 combo count is required to use Coma.

    - The amount of enemies Brandish can hit has been increased from 1 to 3 at level one. (bug fix)

    - New skill has been added: Advanced Final Attack - Enhances the success rate and damage of Final Attack.
    At master level, Advanced Final Attack has a success rate of 60% and deals 250% damage. It also gives a permanent +30 weapon attack and a 10% increase in accuracy.
    - The Achilles skill has been removed. All SP used in this skill will be automatically transferred to Advanced Final Attack.
    - Damage of Monster Magnet has been increased from 200% to 300% and the amount of enemies it can attract does now depend on the skill level.
    - The horizontal range of Rush has been increased.
    - Chance Attack has been fixed so that it can now inflict damage to frozen enemies.
    - Hero’s Will is now able to cure almost every status effect. When a player has the skill lock status, the player cannot use the Hero’s Will skill anymore.
    - The skill animation of Brave Slash shows properly when you’re using a different weapon. For example, a sword or an axe.
    And the amount of monsters Brave Slash can attack has been increased from 3 to 4.

    Page, Knight, Paladin

    - New skill has been added: Physical Training – Increases your strength and dexterity permanently.
    At master level, Physical Training permanently increases your strength and dexterity by 30.
    - Power Guard can now absorb 50% damage from the enemy and reflect 100% damage back to the enemy for 180 seconds.
    - Damage of Ground Smash has been increased from 300% to 320% and the amount of enemies it can attack has been increased from 3 to 4.

    - HP recovery of Restoration has been decreased from 80% to 40% maxHP. Cooldown time has been decreased from 30 to 15 seconds.
    - Skill effect of Fire Charge has been renewed.

    - Skill effect of Ice Charge has been renewed.

    - Skill effect of Lightning Charge has been renewed.

    - Damage of Charge Blow has been increased from 360% to 500% and can now attack up to 4 enemies at all levels and the skill effect has been renewed.
    - Damage reduction from an enemy from the Achilles skill has been increased from 15% to 20%
    - Hero’s Will is now able to cure almost every status effect. When a player has the skill lock status, the player cannot use the Hero’s Will skill anymore.
    - The horizontal range of Rush has been increased.
    - Damage of Advanced Charge has been increased from 510% to 700%
    - Damage of Blast has been increased from 285% to 290%
    - Blessing Armor can now successfully guard all attacks, the guard effect upon activation is 1.5 seconds of invincibility.
    - Skill effect of Sanctuary has been renewed.

    Spearman, Dragon Knight, Dark Knight

    - New skill has been added: Physical Training – Increases your strength and dexterity permanently.
    At master level, Physical Training permanently increases your strength and dexterity by 30.
    - Damage of Ground Smash has been increased from 300% to 320% and the amount of enemies it can attack has been increased from 3 to 4.

    - Resistance to all statuses of Elemental Resistance have been increased from 40% to 50%.
    - HP threshold of Dragon Roar has been decreased from 15% to 10%. Dragon Roar can be used when you have more than 20% HP.
    - The Dragon Blood skill changed to Dragon Strength - For a period of time, your strength gets increased.
    At master level, Dragon Strength increases your strength by 60 for 200 seconds.
    - The Dragon Blood skill has been removed. All SP used in this skill will be automatically transferred to Dragon Strength.
    - The effect from Dragon Judgement applies to all skills now.
    - Damage of Dragon Buster has been increased from 170% to 185%.
    - HP usage of Sacrifice has been decreased from 11% to 5%.

    - New skill has been added: Dark Impale – Attack multiple enemies multiple times with fast speed. During the attack, you ignore a certain percentage of the enemies’ defense.

    At master level, Dark Impale deals 135% damage up to 6 enemies 5 times and ignores 20% of the enemies’ defense.
    - Damage of Monster Magnet has been increased from 200% to 300% and the amount of enemies it can attract does now depend on the skill level.
    - The increase in attack of Dragon Buster from Dark Force has been removed. Dark Force gives now a 60% increase in damage and +20 speed when your HP is higher than 20%
    - Beholder’s Revenge can now recover a certain percentage of HP when being hit.
    At master level, Beholder’s Revenge has a counter attack chance of 100%, 700% damage and 5% HP recovery.
    - Hero’s Will is now able to cure almost every status effect. When a player has the skill lock status, the player cannot use the Hero’s Will skill anymore.
    - The horizontal range of Rush has been increased.
    - The Achilles skill has been removed. All SP used in this skill will be automatically transferred to Dark Impale.

    Other classes

    - Damage and skill duration of Oz’s Flame Gear has been increased from 15 seconds and 15% damage to 40 seconds and 40% damage, respectively.
    - The low damage of Eckhart’s Vampire has been fixed.
    - The skill damage when the character attacks with Ninja Ambush has been fixed.
    - Damage of Flash Bang has been increased from 165% to 250%. The reduction of accuracy has been decreased from 85% to 20% and the duration of the reduced accuracy has been increased from 20 to 50 seconds.

    The cooldown time has been increased from 55 to 60 seconds.
    - Dragon Pulse and some other similar skills can now knockback monsters in party play.
    ┕ With ‘party play’, I think they mean party play zones such as Lion King’s Castle, Dark Ereb and other similar areas.

    -What is Spiegelman’s Monster Park?-

    Monster Park is a new party play zone available from players who are level 20 or higher.
    There are three gates you can enter. Each gate has a variety of dungeons you can enter solo or with party members.
    The 50% additional EXP applies in this new content.

    If you want to enter a dungeon, you will need to have a:

    - Zebra Printed Ticket (you can only enter dungeons if you are below level 70)
    - Leopard Printed Ticket. (you can only enter dungeons if you are between level 70 and 120)

    In each dungeon you have to defeat monsters. The monsters can drop a variety of items, such as potions and unidentified items, Monster Park coins and items that enhance the stats of the personality traits.

    The monsters in all Monster Park dungeons are strong and have high HP, but you get high EXP in return.
    Currently players level 120 and higher cannot participate in Monster Park.

    There will be an update in the future to make Monster Park accessible for level +120 players.

    -Monster Park prizes-

    For 50 Monster Park coins, you can get a Spiegelman Mustache face accessory. The accessory is time limited for only five days and cannot be extended. The only good thing is that it adds +100 Charm and Charisma.

    The second and last prize is available for 100 Monster Park coins. It’s a pocket item. The pocket item is also time limited for seven days, but it increases +30 Charm, Charisma, Insight, Will, Sense and Craft.

    The Spell of Awakening

    The Spell of Awakening update along with the 8th anniversary event is finally here!
    I can smell a bandwagon of Fire/Poison mages coming up.

    Like in the Counterattack of the Blade update, a special event called Boom Up is held to celebrate the revamp of Magicians.
    In short: when you advance to the 1st job advancement at level 8, you will be rewarded with a Magician’s Ring (adds +100 MaxHP, +50 MaxMP and +3 Magic Attack) and three equipment boxes.
    When you advance to 2nd job, 3rd job and 4th job advancement, you will be rewarded with a special 60% scroll (adds +3 Magic Attack and +3 INT) and an x1.5 EXP buff.

    The Maple Administrator will give you a list with available Special Mastery Books or 1 Secret Mastery Book when you completed your 3rd job advancement at level 70. Existing players over level 70 will also get this event quest. ^^
    Last but not least, Magicians who are level +120 and level up 5 times from their current level will get the same reward (not the Special Mastery Book) when you advance to 2nd, 3rd and 4th job.
    This Boom Up event will end on May 11. I think that’s where the Archer revamp will start in the test server.

    Anyways, Nexon did some tweaking in this update in the Magician skills.
    Unfortunately Nexon changed all party play zones to regular play zones. The affected zones are Ellin Forest, Neo City, Lion King’s Castle and Knight’s Fortress.
    The only area where there is party play zone is Monster Park.

    Please note that the following skill values are taken when the skill level is mastered.

    Magician

    - Damage of Energy Bolt has been increased from 280% to 310%
    - The amount of monsters Magic Claw can attack has been increased from 2 to 3.

    Fire/Poison Wizard, Mage, Arch Mage

    - New skill has been added: High Wisdom (2nd Job)- Increases your INT permanently.
    At master level, High Wisdom permanently increases your INT by 40.
    - Master level of Slow has been decreased from 20 to 10.
    - Damage of Fire Arrow has been increased from 320% to 360%.
    - Poison Breath can now attack up to 6 monsters and its skill effect has been renewed.

    - New skill has been added: Extreme Magic (3rd Job) – Increases the duration of damage over time and damage when attacking monsters who are affected from damage over time, stun, freeze, darkness or paralysis.
    At master level, Extreme Magic increases the duration of damage over time by 10 seconds. There is a 10% increase in damage when attacking monsters who are affected by damage over time, stun, freeze, darkness or paralysis.
    - Fire Demon is now a 3rd job skill. The ability of turning monsters fire weak has been removed.
    At master level, Fire Demon inflicts 540% damage and 15 seconds of 90% damage over time with a time interval of 1 second up to 6 monsters.

    - New skill has been added: Arcane Aim (4th Job) – Ignores a certain % of the monster’s defense permanently and increases the damage when attacking a monster continuously.
    At master level, Arcane Aim can ignore 20% of the monster’s defense. If you attack one monster more than 3 times, there is a 50% chance that your damage gets increased by 8%.
    The increase in damage can stack up to 5 times.

    - New skill has been added: Mist Eruption (4th Job) – Create an explosion surrounding mists and inflict great damage and damage over time to monsters. Other people cannot explode your mists. In addition, Mist Eruption increases the damage over time damage from Poison Mist permanently.
    At master level, Mist Eruption can explode monsters with 500% damage 5 times while ignoring 40% of the monster’s defense.
    Explosion damage increases by 35% when DoT is applied to more than 2 monsters. Up to six mists can be exploded.

    Passive effect: Permanently increases the DoT damage of Poison Mist by 240%.
    Cooldown time: 10 seconds.

    - Big Bang can now attack up to 10 monsters and inflict 110% damage over time for 10 seconds with a time interval of 1 second.
    The skill effect of Big Bang has been changed to red.

    - A stance effect has been added to Infinity.
    At master level, Infinity has a 50% chance of stance.
    - An elemental resistance increase of 40% has been added permanently to Ifrit.
    - Paralyze can now attack up to 8 monsters 3 times with 257% damage and 140% damage over time for 10 seconds with a time interval of 1 second.
    The skill effect has also been renewed.

    - Master Magic has been changed. You now need to press the skill to toggle it on or off.

    - Magic Composition (3rd Job) has been removed.
    - Partial Resistance (3rd Job) has been removed.
    - Mana Reflection (4th Job) has been removed.

    Ice/Lightning Wizard, Mage, Arch Mage

    - New skill has been added: High Wisdom (2nd Job)- Increases your INT permanently.
    At master level, High Wisdom permanently increases your INT by 40.
    - Master level of Slow has been decreased from 20 to 10.
    - Cold Beam now attacks a monster 3 times with 140% damage.
    - Damage of Thunder Bolt has been increased from 90% to 105%.

    - New skill has been added: Extreme Magic (3rd Job) – Instantly kill a monster with a small chance when its HP is below a certain amount of %. Increases the damage when attacking monsters who are affected from damage over time, stun, freeze, darkness or paralysis.
    At master level, Extreme Magic When the monster’s HP is below 30%, there is a 15% chance to kill a monster instantly. There is a 10% increase in damage when attacking monsters who are affected by damage over time, stun, freeze, darkness or paralysis.
    - Ice Demon is now a 3rd job skill. Damage over time has been added. The ability of turning monsters ice weak has been removed.
    At master level, Ice Demon inflicts 520% damage and 15 seconds of 90% damage over time with a time interval of 1 second up to 6 monsters.

    - New skill has been added: Arcane Aim (4th Job) – Ignores a certain % of the monster’s defense permanently and increases the damage when attacking a monster continuesly.

    At master level, Glacial Chain can attack up to 12 monsters with 450% damage 4 times while ignoring 40% of the monster’s defense and freeze them for 5 seconds long. Glacial Chain also inflicts 15 seconds of 135% damage over time with a time interval of 1 second.
    Cooldown time: 5 seconds.

    - A stance effect has been added to Infinity.
    At master level, Infinity has a 50% chance of stance.
    - An elemental resistance increase of 40% has been added permanently to Elquines.
    - Chain Lightning can now attack up to 5 monsters 4 times with 214% damage. There is a 90% chance to stun for 4 seconds long.
    An increase of 20% critical rate has been added. And the damage penalty for multiple monsters has been removed.

    - Master Magic has been changed. You now need to press the skill to toggle it on or off.

    - Magic Composition (3rd Job) has been removed.
    - Partial Resistance (3rd Job) has been removed.
    - Mana Reflection (4th Job) has been removed.

    Cleric, Priest, Bishop

    - New skill has been added: High Wisdom (2nd Job) – Increases your INT permanently.
    At master level, High Wisdom permanently increases your INT by 40.
    - Master level of Heal has been decreased from 30 to 20. HP recovery has been increased from 200% to 300%. Damage to undead monsters has been increased from 250% to 350%.
    - Invincible now decreases physical and magic damage by 20%.
    - Damage of Holy Arrow has been increased from 380% to 390%. Holy Arrow can now attack up to 3 monsters.

    - New skill has been added: Holy Magic Shell (3rd Job) – For a period of time, create a magic shield for your party member that absorbs damage.
    At master level, Holy Magic Shell can create a magic shield for 20 seconds long which can absorb damage up to 10 times and heals 100% HP of all party members.
    Cooldown time: 90 seconds.

    - A new skill has been added: Magic Booster (3rd Job) – Use MP to increase your attacking speed for a period of time.
    At master level, Magic Booster increases your attacking speed for 200 seconds.
    - Holy Focus affects all skills now. The critical rate has been decreased from 50% to 40% and magic mastery to 65% has been added.
    - Holy Symbol now gives the maximum effect when you’re playing alone. Skill duration has been increased from 120 to 180 seconds. MP cost has been increased from 80 to 300 MP.
    - Shining Ray now attacks 3 times 200% damage up to 6 monsters.
    The casting speed has increased and the skill effect has been renewed.

    - Master level of Doom has been decreased from 20 to 10. It no longer requires a Magic Rock to use the skill.
    The success rate has been increased to 90% and a monster now stays 15 seconds transformed instead of 10 seconds.
    A cooldown time of 10 seconds has been added.

    - New skill has been added: Arcane Aim (4th Job) – Ignores a certain % of the monster’s defense permanently and increases the damage when attacking a monster continuesly.
    At master level, Arcane Aim can ignore 20% of the monster’s defense. If you attack one monster more than 3 times, there is a 50% chance that your damage gets increased by 8%.
    The increase in damage can stack up to 5 times.

    - New skill has been added: Advanced Bless (4th Job) – For a period of time, bless your party members with attack, magic, physical defense, magic defense, accuracy, avoidability, HP, MP and a decrease in MP cost.
    At master level, Advanced Bless gives +25 weapon attack and magic, +500 physical and magic defense, +320 accuracy and avoidability and +700 HP and MP and reduces the MP cost by 20% for all party members for 240 seconds.

    - Big Bang can now attack up to 10 monsters and an increase of 15% critical rate has been added.
    - An elemental resistance increase of 40% has been added permanently to Bahamut.
    - A stance effect has been added to Infinity.
    At master level, Infinity has a 50% chance of stance.
    - The cooldown time of Resurrection has been decreased from 30 to 10 minutes.
    - Angel Ray can now attack up to 5 monsters at all levels with 450% damage 2 times.
    The skill effect has also been renewed.

    - Master Magic has been changed. You now need to press the skill to toggle it on or off.

    - Element Resistance (3rd Job) has been removed.
    - Summon Dragon (3rd Job) has been removed.
    - Holy Shield (4th Job) has been removed.
    - Mana Reflection (4th Job) has been removed.

    Flame Wizard (Knights of Cygnus)

    - The amount of monsters Magic Claw can attack has been increased from 2 to 3.
    - Damage of Fire Pillar has been increased from 325% to 350%.
    - New skill has been added: Magic Critical (3rd Job) – Increases the success rate of critical attack and critical rate permanently.
    At master level, Magic Critical permanently increases minimum critical damage by 25% and chance of critical attack by 30%
    - An elemental resistance increase of 30% has been added permanently to Ifrit.
    - Fire Strike can now attack monsters 3 times with 210% damage.

    - Element Resistance (3rd Job) has been removed.

    Other classes

    - Damage of Magic Missile (Evan – 1st Growth) has been increased from 130% to 145%.
    - Skill duration of Magic Shield (Evan – 5th Growth) has been increased from 20 to 60 seconds. Cooldown time has been increased from 40 to 90 seconds.
    - Damage of Dragon Sparking (Evan – 7th Growth) has been increased from 150% to 200%
    - The minimum required MP from Dragon Fury (Evan – 8th Growth) has been decreased from 50% to 30% MP and the extra magic attack buff has been increased from 20 to 25%.
    - Bonus damage of Ghost Lettering (Evan – 8th Growth) has been increased from 15% to 25%.
    - Illusion (Evan – 9th Growth) now ignores 15% of the monster’s defense.
    - Blaze (Evan – 10th Growth) now ignores 20% of the monster’s defense.
    - Panic (Crusader, Soul Master – 3rd Job) had its range increased.
    - Coma (Crusader, Soul Master – 3rd Job) had its range increased.
    - Power Reflection (Fighter – 2nd Job) can now reflect damage from ranged attacks.
    - Power Guard (Page – 2nd Job) can now reflect damage from ranged attacks.
    - Perfect Guard (Mechanic – 3rd Job) can now guard ranged attacks.
    8th anniversary~!

    8 years!! Wow! I’ve played MapleStory for years now and I’m still amazed that this game keeps me playing…
    When Korea introduces the anniversary update, it always reminds me that other versions will soon have their own anniversary updates as well.

    In this update, Cassandra gives you her 8th Anniversary Diary. When you open the diary, you will see ten available missions.
    The missions are important. If you want a nice reward, you’ll have to complete all missions 8 times.

    [ Rising Star ★ ]

    There are six missions that can be completed only once per day. I’ll keep it simple and short. You can pick a girl who you’re a fan of.
    Lilin, Valerie and Empress Cygnus are the three rising stars in Maple World.
    I’m a fan of Empress Cygnus because in the future she’s not a rising star but a badass evil person. So I choose her. ^o^

    These following missions can be completed only once per day and they are required to train your idol.

    Mission #1: [Vocal] You need to collect 8 different handbells for your idol to train her vocals. Each handbell represents a music mode.
    Red colored handbell = Do
    Orange colored handbell = Re
    Yellow colored handbell = Mi
    Green colored handbell = Fa
    Light Blue colored handbell = Sol
    Blue colored handbell = La
    Purple colored handbell = Si
    Black colored handbell = Do

    Complete this quest and your idol gives you 10 8th Anniversary Maple Leaves and EXP.

    Mission #2: [Musical Instrument] You need to collect 8 different music notes from monsters within your level range to train how well trained your idol is with instruments.
    Complete this quest and you’re given 10 8th Anniversary Maple Leaves and EXP.

    Mission #3: [Dance] Gaga gives you a Motion Capture camera and you have to hold it for 30 minutes. After you have kept it for 30 minutes in your inventory, bring it to the girl you’re a fan of and she gives you 10 8th Anniversary Maple Leaves and EXP.

    Mission #4: [Appearance] Your idol is keen on her looks. She gives you a calorie consumption measuring device (which is a device that measures the amount of the calories burned by recognizing the movement of the user) and asks you to defeat 200 monsters within your level range.
    Complete this quest and you’re given 10 8th Anniversary Maple Leaves and EXP.

    Mission #5: [Popularity] Help your idol to raise her popularity by collecting one Star Cheer Placard from monsters within your level range.
    Complete this quest and you’re given 10 8th Anniversary Maple Leaves and EXP.

    Mission #6: [Reputation] Your idol is skyrocketing when it comes to popularity, so she has to be careful of the paparazzis trying to film her embarassing moments. Unfortunately Star Paparazzi, the most successful paparazzi in Maple World managed to succeed filming such a moment of your idol and it’s your task to bring the humiliating film back!
    Complete this quest and you’re given 10 8th Anniversary Maple Leaves and EXP.

    All these missions are repeatable everyday because you have to complete it 8 times.
    But wait…! There are 4 missions left. These are missions that can be completed anytime and doesn’t have a limit of 1 completion per day.
    However, these missions are much harder than the other 6.

    The first mission in the top left corner requires you to use a Palabird’s Feather scroll.
    There are two different scrolls. One is the normal Palabird’s Feather scroll which has a 20% success rate of upgrading Maple Beryl equipment into Maple Letinum equipment.

    The second is a Shiny Palabird’s Feather scroll. This one has a 100% success rate.
    How do you get it? You can either buy the normal Palabird’s Feather scroll from the NPC Inkwell, who by the way, also sells the Maple Beryl equipment and special anniversary scrolls or you can hunt a Palabird for the Shiny Palabird’s Feather scroll.

    It’s a perfect opportunity. Because the second mission is to defeat 8 Palabirds. Unfortunately Nexon made their spawn time limited. On weekdays it spawns between 6~10 PM KST and in weekends between 2~10 PM.
    The Palabird drops Maple Leaves, Armor & Accessory 60% scrolls and the Palabird’s Feather & Shiny Palabird’s Feather scroll.

    In my opinion, the most difficult mission is using the Palabird’s Feather scroll 8 times. Because you have to use it on 8 Maple Beryl items.

    You can ONLY buy Maple Beryl armor from Inkwell. He isn’t giving it for free… You’ll have to come up with some 8th Anniversary Silver Coins.

    Anyways, Cassandra can give you 8th Anniversary Silver Coins in exchange for 8th Anniversary Maple Leaves.
    These leaves are new, so if you have old ones you can exchange them with Cassandra for the new leaves although it’s not guaranteed you will get all your old leaves converted into new ones.

    1 8th Anniversary Silver Coin is worth 100 8th Anniversary Maple Leaves.

    Monsters are only dropping 1 leaf so that’s going to be a problem. Although… Bosses and Master Monsters drop a lot of leaves!
    And I know exactly at which boss I’m gonna farm me some leaves!

    Inkwell isn’t only selling armor, but also special scrolls to commemorate the 8th anniversary.
    He sells:

    ▶ One-Handed Weapon for Attack scroll 20%

    Maple Beryl is the level 45 equipment and Maple Letinum is the level 70 equipment.


    So you already know how to get the Maple Beryl armor, but how to get the nice weapons?
    It’s not going to be easy…

    Every once in a while you might get lucky and a monster will drop a Maple 8th Anniversary Box for you.
    You’ll have to get really lucky though because it’s rare in the public server.

    When you open the box, you have a chance to get one of the Beryl weapons or if you’re really unlucky, you get some Maple Leaves….
    I’ve already said how you can upgrade your Beryl equipment into Letinum. But I’m going to tell you it again.

    The only way to upgrade Beryl to Letinum is by scrolling it with a (Shiny) Palabird’s Feather scroll.

    A set is considered complete when you have the hat, overall, shoes, gloves, cape, shoulder pad, belt and weapon.
    The full Maple Beryl Set gives the following:

    On the other hand, the Maple Letinum Set gives the following:

    AllStat +10
    Weapon Attack: +6
    Magic Attack: +6
    Speed: +10

    When you look back in my diary, there are 2 missions left. One mission that involves with a mushroom and the other with some sort of plant.
    Luckily they’re connected to each other.

    Monsters in Maple World drop this item called Mini Maple. It’s an item pot, which is a new thing introduced in the second update of the Chaos update.
    A new window will open when you double-click the item. Mini Maple has four levels or rather said stages.
    You can feed an item pot with equipment and ETC items. If you feed it with potentialed equipment, the blue bar will raise higher than with normal equipment.

    When the blue bar is full, the Mini Maple will go to sleep for approximately 21 hours.
    There are special items for item pot such as a basket full with hearts that raises the happiness (increases quality of the reward), or an alarm clock that reduces the sleeping time to 30 minutes and more~

    Mini Maple has four stages and this is the result of the last stage. ▼

    Double-click the Mini Maple and you’ll get a Golden Maple Fruit. Mission completed! Yup, you have to raise the Mini Maple 8 times.
    The other mission requires you to use an Orange Mushroom Riding skill. The riding skill is connected to the Mini Maple because the Golden Maple Fruit can give you a reward!

    Do you see the Orange Mushroom Riding skill? It also gives other riding skills as well and one of the special 20% 8th Anniversary scrolls or 8th Anniversary Silver Coins.
    You only need to use the Orange Mushroom Riding skill once and not 8 times! Thank you for that Nexon. +_+

    In the end, when you have all missions completed, you’ll be rewarded with the 8th Anniversary Medal!!

    This medal adds:

    AllStat: +8
    MaxHP: +80
    MaxMP: +80
    Accuracy: +80
    Avoidability: +80
    PvP damage: +2

    The Arrow of Speed

    The final patch of the Jump! update. Adventurer & Cygnus Archers have their skills refined, system improvements and all Party Quests are renewed!
    Every Archer is entitled to one SP reset scroll, you can only get it for a limited of time.

    Recommended levels have been added to the Party Quests.
    I have not tried out all the Party Quests yet.

    I’ve heard from friends and guild members that this revamp is a success because the experience gain is fast.
    I myself tried out Resurrection of the Hob King Party Quest. What I noticed was that there are only three stages and Shammos walks a lot faster in the right direction.

    I gained 2% of experience in almost 5 minutes at level 164. I think that’s pretty good.
    This Party Quest used to be very boring and Nexon did a great job renewing this one.

    With the revamp, Nexon added a new system. The difficulty rate of the Party Quest depends on the average level of your party members.
    For example, three Lv. 130 players can rush through the Party Quest with no trouble. But, if there isa Lv. 150 and 160 in the party, then the Party Quest will become difficult for the Lv. 130 players. The monsters and boss monsters will adjust to the higher leveled players.

    The rewards from the Party Quests are completely changed. Better rewards are available. The rewards are basically an upgraded version of the original rewards.
    When you talk to Shammos, there is an option you can pick. The option is if you want to obtain a reward.

    Number 1,2 and 3 are upgraded Rex earrings. They have a level requirement of Lv. 120 and each color adds +8 STR,DEX,INT, LUK, +10% HP, +1 weapon/magic attack and +100 physical and magic defense.
    The fourth option is the Rex’s Hyena mount. I was so happy to see this option, because now you can actually get it from Shammos.
    There is a catch… For each upgraded Rex earring, you need to give Shammos 50 Proof of the Hob Warrior.

    The Rex boss drops it and if one party member picks it up, everyone in the party will receive one. For the Rex’s Hyena mount, you need 300 pieces…
    That means you’ll have to do this Party Quest 300 times. +_+
    In case you are wondering, the bag is a Party Quest item bag. You can get it from a special quest that requires you to clear a Party Quest.
    In this bag, you can store up to 8 Party Quest items. Proof of the Hob Warrior is one of them. I think other Party Quests have similar items in which you have to trade it for a reward.

    Overall, even though I haven’t tried all Party Quests yet, I think Nexon is doing a great job with it. The Rex’s Hyena mount gives Battle Mages a mount they can have since the Resistance class doesn’t have one aside from the Wild Hunter.

    There is a new notification system~
    Let me first tell you what the five icons mean.
    The lightbulb is for quests, the star is for events, the purple G box is from Deia’s G-Potion supply (new guild skill), the PC icon is when you are connected to a PC Room and the heart icon is for Item Pot.

    The icons appear on the left side of the scrolls.
    It’s an improvement, but now it’s hard to tell whenever I have a new quest available. I’ll get used to it.

    A reminder to distribute your AP and/or SP has been added. It’s an exclamation mark.
    What do you think? It’s great and all, but shouldn’t they have it added it way earlier?

    The user interface of the medal collection has been updated. A few buttons have been added and everyone can now actually see your collection by clicking on your character info. They can see how many medals you have, how they look and what the stats are.
    You can now sort your medals by name or date of acquirement.

    Do you see that red button? If you tossed a medal away, it will register in your collection. However, now it is possible to get back that medal!
    Yeah!~ However, I’m not sure if there are limitations. You have to pay meso and each time the fee goes up. You need to pay 1000 meso for the first medal.
    Look in the image above, it says I need to pay 10,000 meso if I want my 3rd medal back in my inventory.
    I have a Henesys Donor King medal, but that medal cannot be re-obtained for obvious reasons.

    The main point of Jump! The Archer restructuring!
    Nexon made some tweaks during the transition to the public server. Check it out~

    Please note that the following skill values are taken when the skill level is mastered.
    This is the finalized revision!

    Archer

    - New skill has been added: Archer Mastery (1st Job) – Learn the basic techniques of an archer. Increases your accuracy, avoidability, shooting range, movement speed and the maximum speed limit.
    At master level, Archer Mastery increases your accuracy and avoidability by +225, shooting range by 120, movement speed by +30 and the maximum speed limit to 160.
    - Master level of Arrow Blow has been decreased from 20 to 15. Damage of Arrow Blow has been increased from 200% to 220%.
    - Master level of Double Shot has been decreased from 20 to 15. Damage of Double Shot has been increased from 140% to 155%.
    - Focus (1st Job) has been removed.
    - Eye of the Amazon (1st Job) has been replaced with Archer Mastery.

    Hunter, Ranger, Bowmaster

    - New skill has been added: Double Jump (2nd Job) – Double jump in midair to a far distance.

    - New skill has been added: Physical Training (2nd Job) – Increases your strength and dexterity permanently.
    At master level, Physical Training permanently increases your STR and DEX by 30.
    - Silver Hawk is now a 2nd job skill. It no longer requires summoning rocks to summon the hawk.
    At master level, Silver Hawk inflicts 250% damage to a monster with a 90% chance to stun. The hawk will hover 180 seconds around you.
    - Enhanced Basics (2nd Job) has been removed.
    - Power Knockback (2nd Job) has been removed.

    - New skill has been added: Drain Arrow (3rd Job) – Launch an arrow towards a monster to absorb its HP.
    At master level, Drain Arrow inflicts 340% damage to one monster and 45% damage will be absorbed to HP.

    - Master level of Mortal Blow has been decreased from 20 to 15. A HP and MP recovery effect has been added when the monster has been instantly killed.
    At master level, Mortal Blow has a 15% chance to instant kill a monster when its HP is below 30%. The instant kill recovers your HP and MP by 5%.
    - A new effect has been added to Dodge. After you avoid an attack, all your attacks will be critical for 1 second.
    - Concentration is now a 3rd job skill. Cooldown time has been removed.
    At master level, Concentration increases your weapon attack by +20 and decreases the MP you consume by 25% for 180 seconds.
    - Master level of Puppet has been decreased from 20 to 15. Monsters will attack the Puppet first when it’s summoned. HP of Puppet has been increased from 8,000 to 10,000.
    At master level, Puppet is summoned with 10,000 HP and stays on the ground for 60 seconds.
    - Damage of Fire Shot has been increased from 450% to 460%. Damage over time has been increased from 50% to 100%.
    The skill effect has been renewed. (See Ultimate Fire Shot)
    - Master level of Arrow Rain has been decreased from 30 to 20. The attack speed and range has been significantly changed. Arrow Rain now attacks a monster three times.
    At master level, Arrow Rain inflicts 148% damage x 3 up to 10 monsters.
    - Phoenix is now a 3rd job skill. Master level has been decreased from 30 to 20.
    At master level, Phoenix inflicts 360% damage up to 4 monsters with a 95% chance to stun. Phoenix will hover 220 seconds around you.
    - Master level of Strafe has been decreased from 30 to 20. At master level, Strafe inflicts 180% damage.
    - Thrust (3rd Job) has been removed.

    - New skill has been added: Spirit Link: Phoenix (4th Job)- Improve your damage, HP, physical and magic defense. The effect only applies when Phoenix is summoned.
    At master level, Spirit Link: Phoenix increases your damage by 15%, HP by 40%, physical and magic defense by 30% when Phoenix is summoned. Also, your resistance against all statuses will increase by 15%.
    - New skill has been added: Advanced Final Attack (4th Job) – Enhances the success rate and damage of Final Attack.
    At master level, Advanced Final Attack has a success rate of 70% and deals 210% damage. It also gives a permanent +20 weapon attack and a 10% increase in accuracy.
    - New skill has been added: Ultimate Fire Shot (4th Job) – Enhanced version of Fire Shot.
    At master level, Ultimate Fire Shot inflicts 600% damage with 140% damage over time for 12 seconds with a time interval of 1 second up to 6 monsters.

    - New skill has been added: Elite Puppet (4th Job) – You can summon a more powerful puppet. The Elite Puppet can attack on its own and absorb HP.
    At master level, Elite Puppet can be summoned for 60 seconds long. It has a HP value of 30,000, it inflicts 350% damage and absorbs 20% of the damage.

    - New skill has been added: Illusion Step (4th Job) – For a period of time, increase your dexterity and avoidability.
    At master level, Illusion Step increases your DEX by +40 and has a 30% chance to avoid attacks for 240 seconds.

    - Marksmanship now ignores 25% of the monster’s defense instead of 20%. A 10% increase of accuracy has been added and the 10% increase of maxHP has been removed.
    - Storm of Arrows has been changed so that you can now properly use potions while attacking.
    - Dragon Pulse (4th Job) has been removed.
    - Hamstring (4th Job) has been removed.
    - Vengeance (4th Job) has been removed.

    Crossbowman, Sniper, Marksman

    - New skill has been added: Double Jump (2nd Job) – Double jump in midair to a far distance.

    - New skill has been added: Physical Training (2nd Job) – Increases your strength and dexterity permanently.
    At master level, Physical Training permanently increases your STR and DEX by 30.
    - Golden Eagle is now a 2nd job skill. It no longer requires summoning rocks to summon the eagle.
    At master level, Golden Eagle inflicts 250% damage to a monster with a 90% chance to stun. The eagle will hover 180 seconds around you.
    - Damage of Iron Arrow has been decreased from 340% to 310%. The damage penalty for multiple monsters has been removed.

    - Dragon Pulse is now a 3rd job skill. Master level has been decreased from 30 to 20.

    - New skill has been added: Dodge (3rd Job) – At a certain success rate, you can avoid a monster’s attack and after you successfully avoided the attack, all your attacks will be critical for a second.
    At master level, Dodge has a 20% to avoid. After you avoid an attack, all your attacks will be critical for 1 second.
    - Arrow Rain now attacks a monster three times.
    At master level, Arrow Rain inflicts 148% damage x 3 up to 10 monsters.
    - Master level of Puppet has been decreased from 20 to 15. Monsters will attack the Puppet first when it’s summoned. HP of Puppet has been increased from 8,000 to 10,000.
    At master level, Puppet is summoned with 10,000 HP and stays on the ground for 60 seconds.
    - Cooldown time of Albatross has been decreased from 180 to 130 seconds.

    Just like with the Warrior and Magician, the Archer class will have tons of events.

    .EVENT 1
    When you create a new character and advance it to an Archer, you will be rewarded with a 30-days Fairy’s Pendant and an Archer Ring.
    The Archer Ring increases your weapon attack by +1, maxHP by +100, accuracy by +50 and critical rate by +5%.
    In addition, you get three equipment boxes. You will have your Lv 10, 20 and 25 gear (weapon not included) in no time equipped!

    .EVENT 2
    Advance to 2nd, 3rd and 4th Job and you will be rewarded with a x1.5 EXP buff and a special 60% scroll.
    The scroll adds +3 weapon attack, +3 DEX and +1 STR.

    .EVENT 3
    Between level 120 and 195, level up 5 times to get a reward.
    The reward from the Maple Administrator is the same as event 2.

    .EVENT 4
    Any Archer character whose level 70 or higher can pick a Secret Mastery Book or Special Mastery Book.
    The Special Mastery Book increases the skill level to 30 at a 100% success rate.

    It just quintupled lol and not really another Big-Bang. It just balances out the magicians, warriors, and archers because they have now become inadequate.

    This may be true but they are much stronger than other classes in the beginning. Not sure why they didn't update thieves near the end
