"Hey look at me, I have a tablet, but I'm going to make sure everyone knows it in the most subtle way I can think of."
Learn to draw first.

So many assholes on mpgh....
How exactly do you think you're going to improve by simply owning a tablet

Tablets won't help you improve..they are just convenient.
What helps you improve are art classes and tutorials.
I think too many people pick up tablets thinking that they're automatically going to do something amazing with it, not realizing that they lack fundamental knowledge. I consider myself pretty damn crafty with the graphite and paintbrush, but I know for a fact that I'm not going to be able to hop on a tablet and produce anything even close to what I'm used to doing on canvas or paper. This is why I held off so long on buying one.
I got really pissed when my friend came over and saw my tablet and he wanted to buy one. He was so ingorant.
He told me he hated art. Then he was like nah man i love art. Hes like teach me shit. I did. Then im like u shouldnt buy that tablet yet if u hardly know how to draw stick figure (for real thats how much he suks). Then he says its my choice
KIDDIES DONT KNOW WHATS BEST FOR DEM
Intuos is for "licensed" digi-painters if u know what i mean. Theyre so professional and "big"
to be easier to paint.
Obviously but since it was a gift just draw away i guess xD\
