i dont want animation, i want the 3d model. .x and .dtx are direct x extensions. they are model files.
Whatever request it was, as I didn't read the thread, it can't be as strange as asking for M9 to penis, and it was black, and the blood was white.
I read the thread.
It's impossible to do this, unless you get maya 5.0 ALIAS Wavefront, which, with plugins, can read ****b format files, and from there, you can export to a bunch of other formats.
@robdux
the model will work the exact same as the prior one. only way it will be static is if i try to make a damn m16 look like a javelin. im tweeking the models. ive done this before. and everything works fine. and if it doesnt, well i can also completely reanimate it. this is what i do. 3d design and animation. but instead of taking the time and making a completely new model tweeking one that is already made works just as good.
wrong. 3ds max imports .x and can export .3ds blender imports .3ds and can export .x. maya sucks. its good for certain applications and thats it. just like if i wanted to redo the character models id use ZBrush. gun models are best done in blender 2.55 or higher.

No, it's if you want to keep the native animations.
If you convert ****b to .x, you will lose the animations, and there's nothing you can do about it. You may be able to recreate animations, but I doubt if you're able to redo fire keys.

IDK, about the actual process, I just know the theory. Talk to @supercarz1991
