    i dont want animation, i want the 3d model. .x and .dtx are direct x extensions. they are model files.

    Whatever request it was, as I didn't read the thread, it can't be as strange as asking for M9 to penis, and it was black, and the blood was white.

    I read the thread.

    It's impossible to do this, unless you get maya 5.0 ALIAS Wavefront, which, with plugins, can read ****b format files, and from there, you can export to a bunch of other formats.

    wrong. 3ds max imports .x and can export .3ds blender imports .3ds and can export .x. maya sucks. its good for certain applications and thats it. just like if i wanted to redo the character models id use ZBrush. gun models are best done in blender 2.55 or higher.

    No, it's if you want to keep the native animations.

    If you convert ****b to .x, you will lose the animations, and there's nothing you can do about it. You may be able to recreate animations, but I doubt if you're able to redo fire keys.

    unless the game has completely changed since the last time i have modded, i have always converted to .x and then reimported after redesign. and animations always seemed to work fine and fire keys were still the same.

    just an update, i dont need the files anymore. i have gotten all the programs to work with a reinstall of .net framework from 1.0 all the way up.
