Reply With QuoteWar is never a good thing. I know because I did 1 tour in Afghanistan and saw my fellow soldiers die right next to me. Its such a horrible thing to see, but it was their choice to serve their country no matter what the consequence. No matter what, I don't think as long as there is a planet Earth that war will ever stop just because its natural human instinct to use violence when words don't work. I'm not saying everybody is like that, but a vast majority are. Just look at playgrounds in schools, bars, its just how humans are.

Although I find nuclear wars to be completely inhuman, and I disproof them to the utmost of my ability, I believe that great empires are made by wars. Being that said, if a very capable and genius general appears in my country (doesn't have to be Peru, pretend I'm American), I would encourage war. I would even join the army myself.
Nonetheless, I do not encourage war without reasons. I would only encourage the waging of wars against countries who either violate human rights, or treat their citizens very badly to the point of torture (North Korea, for example).
But no, heroic wars are long gone. Modern warfare is a few nukes on a few cities, and ciao. In a Third-World-War scenario, the war would travel faster than any army.God is great, beer is good, and people are crazy.
