Most people on this forum aren't English/American, so English isn't there first language.
It can be hard (specially for 12 year old kids) to know a foreign language if they've never been taught.

Just because you can't spell doesn't mean your grammar is poor. Let's take a look at both "grammar" and "spelling."

Spelling:

• verb; the process of writing or naming the letters in a word
• noun; the way a word is spelled

• noun; a system or structure of a language

Oh my God. I have actually managed to find someone who shares the same view as me regarding grammar.

I text all of the time and when I do, I am still grammatically correct.

I, like you, agree that if a person cannot use grammar then is shows their low intelligence level.

I am the exact same way. I always text grammatically correct, almost never otherwise.

My view on commas are that they should be used properly; there is nothing I hate more than when I have to read a sentence without any commas, it is just too difficult.

I also have a slight annoyance with people having the incapability to address a sentence with a capital letter and finish one with either a full stop, a question mark or an exclamation mark.

I feel the same way you do about commas. Learn how to put them in a sentence. Almost every job you go into is going to have some form of writing and/or typing. Hence where having good grammar is going to be a good thing.

Technically, the both of you are wrong. Spelling is not proper word usage, but the manner in which words are spelled. Grammar is the manner in which the sentences are constructed.
Grammar CAN involve spelling when trying to be correct, but it's not technically an integral part of it.
