Kekkaishi seems to fit into your criteria. Main lead, shonen, over 25 episodes, it's supernatural, and got romance.

-.- , read the criteria guys.

    Here L:
    1. Gurren Lagaan:
Pretty much the best shonen anime out there. Meets all your criteria except maybe strong plot. But gotta say, its worth watching and is very entertaining.

    2. D.Gray Man:
If you liked Blue Exorcist, you'll like the original. D.Gray Man is a lot more serious though, and i'm not sure exactly where the anime left off. I personally prefered the manga until the artist got sick. But the enemies are more challenging and the plot is a lot more dark. Lots of twist later though.

    3. Code Geass:
If your liked Death Note. Code geass is pretty much the combination of Death Note and Gundam. The plot is very interesting on a by-episode basis, and by the end of the series, the main character has come very very far.

    4. Kara No kyoukai:
Although with a female main, its not the "loli/big breasted" main character you see in 99% of anime with the intelligence of a schoolgirl. The plot is the best of any anime i have seen, character developement is high, some romance, and quite serious.
    -----------------------------------
    Manga:
    -Berserk
    -Gantz
    -The Breaker
    -Akumetsu
    -Eden: Its an Endless Wold
    -Dorohedoro.

I'd reccommend personally Eden and Dorohedoro, as no other manga are unique like them.

But your more of a shonen person so i doubt it.

Thanks for the legit response, tired of repeating myself about some of the suggestions.

I've heard great things about Code, just haven't gotten around to seeing it yet, sure I will at some time though.

The rest seem interesting, I'll put them on my to-watch list.

K, lol. Code Geass was the last thing i'd be expecting not to be seen by you.
Hmm dorohedoro can be read even if your into shonen.

And how can i forget to write, Tsubasa (chronicle's)....

"By the way why ignore my suggestion upon placing your anime list here."

:/ Thing is anime is hardly ever done well in comparison to manga.

-The stories are too slow, not well told, and usually not the same.
-Some entire series on anime are completely different than the manga
-censors are horrible, blood is only just now being censored, for no reason.

Then there is the problem of shonen. Shonen try to essentially copy each other pretty heavily:

    Bleach copies DBZ.
    Blue Exorcist copies D.Gray Man.
    Gundam 00 Copies Code Geass
    Fairy Tail Copies One piece.
Shaman King copies Jojo's Bizzarre Adventure.

Its all a cycle for shonen.

Clannad and Angel Beats both are out. I don't like harems. And Elfen, I don't like female leads.

I finished Ao No Exorcist, was pretty awesome. Seems like it'll either end soon or continue for 20+ more episodes.
Clannad isnt really a harem it is about the relationship between the male lead(tomoya) and the female lead (nagisa). You see there deep love for one another as the anime progresses. The other characters dont fall in love with tomoya, they are just friends. It just happens to be alot of female characters lol the girl to guy ratio is 3:1 lol, considering that most harems are when multiple females fall for a guy, Clannad isnt really a harem. There is serious very deep characterisation between both the main clannad, and they slowly change. Tomoya changing Nagisa and Nagisa chaning Tomoya. The scenes in clannad with the music make clannad that much more emotional when dramatic scenes appear.

Azn, he doesn't want to watch Clannad. Get over it bro.

I don't think he was looking for a romance anime anyway, as his criteria suggest. But doubt you even read that.

    ^

I just wanted a bit of it [romance] in there.

I didn't reply about the anime list because I don't remember all of the ones I've seen /
If it didn't make a big impression on me, i cbf to remember it.

I like anime over manga because it's more fun/interesting (IMO) to watch the show instead of reading it. I like conventional books a good deal more than manga.
