dragon almost came alife

started out with basic dragon tattoo, been playing around with it for an hour now.. tired of it, so i ask whoever got any good input on how to make it pop out of my screen:P
could help to upgrade to cs3, could be some nice features there i missed out on
hard to make those lines flow 100%

Kinda looks like you duplicated or applied image twice and just dragged it and faded or did like 2 easy filters..

It need depth to look like it's "popping" out of the screen, and in order to have depth you must have proper shading and lighting.

He has to hand make that depth and on a vector which he is creatin is pretty hard

yea, started with some easy filtering.. double layer with rendering on the back image, then some basic blending etc.
then got bored actualy, but did some more work on it now, it's all about patience which i lack

Put a big shadow behind it, and work from there, for it to be 3D or something.
