Can I put windows xp on USB drive (Open w/ winrar + drag files in USB) and then install xp via boot?
I don't think you can boot from a USB or install via a USB but there should be a way i google for you
Installing Microsoft Windows XP from usb device (usb-stick, usb-hdd, SD card) simpler method [EeeUser Eee PC Wiki]

hmm... it should be possible if you use the right method
Get an iso and put it on the flash drive/burn to cd then boot.
Should work.
I format the USB in FAT32 first and copy the windows files on it.
Works for Windows 7
