A few reasons why Hentai CAN be better compared to the rest of the age and content spread. Since it won't be aired at day time it can go follow other rules like adding real gore that ain't cencored. More intensified battles and more intimate relations between characters. (DVD sold items like seinen rate anime count too as other then normal TV-Aired items but i took Hentai as main example as it has been used as topic)

Also hentai's useally are tagged to be bad, since your watching anime pornography but yeah can say the same about games like GTA - it ain't real so don't bother. Some do have really nice stories and even most animes to day that are liked are heavely modified Eroges (H-Games).

Cus anime obviously outranks hentai in everything from voice acting to animation. Hentai videos are generally bad. Although hentai art surprisingly very good, and i'm talking about the non-sex art made by h-artist. Its shown quite a considerable improvements in detail from its origins. Also, they have a great sense of humor.

Boichi, made sun-ken-rock. One of my favorite series. He originally did hentai.

And surprisingly under different names, you'd be surprised how many people have put out henta that now put out legit manga.

Same goes for the (art's)artist of The Melancholy of haruhi suzumiya which wanted to use the characters for an hentai/eroge. ahwell 1 advantage of drawing nudistic images -not bothering with clothes, useally you already draw a schematic of the body without clothing wich basicly is the body.

If you like shows without a story, good animation, or character developement, sure.

ehm some do have beautyfull stories, ehm most are even looking better then most animes, char dev depends on what you want to see, don't go negative on it.
