"Can't Reach Server" Error

So I was trying to make a 1.8.1 server for me, my bro and our friend and it went well. I then decided to install Multiplayer Commands and I followed tuts and how to do it and stuff but now when I try to connect to my server, it says "Can't Reach Server" Please Help

Did you use hamachi?
did you portforward?
Did you make a folder for your server and download the bukkitstarter?

I'm using Hamachi, I made a folder for my server but I'm not using Bukkit

Don't think so...I just got the Minecraft_server.jar and exe from the Minecraft site...

Im a little busy atm with my own stuff.
Ill try to release a folder for minecraft server stuff tomorrow.
With a simple tutorial to follow.
I cant port forward but I can make one for hamachi.

Oh, and if you can, can you make a tut for installing Multiplayer Commands? I get confused by that, and you can probably tell that I'm a newbie.

Yeah I know, I was frustrated when I was trying to get my first server as well. lol.
Im kinda worried about the tut right now.
Im not 100% clear my self.
I just played around with the text documents till it worked.
Ill try my best though.
Pretty sure if I just upload the server files, and you edit the server.txt file, and set it to your IP, it should work...
