First of all , can some one make this topic sticky? , its important that people know this! , many people have this problem! , : when they join a server it freezes on Joining Server... , i found this out , 10 mins ago!
( IMA TYPE IT UNDER THIS LINE )
1) Go to the location where Origin installed battlefield. This folder is called: "Béta Battlefield 3". Now this is the problem; the Windows registry system can't open with the 'é', so change it to a normal 'e': "Beta Battlefield 3".
2) Next press the Windows key + r on your keyboard and enter "regedit", press enter. Now navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE -> Wow6432Node -> EA GAMES. Click on 'Bf3 Beta'. On your right you see a row of information where the 3rd and 4th row are filepaths, and there the annoying 'é' is back! Change the é's with the grave accent to normal 'e' in both filepaths and close the registry editor.
Have fun playing ! :}
Thank me if this helped u out!

Beta Battlefield 3 fix
Beta Battlefield 3 Joining Server Fix - YouTube
Je kan inderdaad het spel starten door alleen twee dingen te veranderen in je regedit, maar je moet er veel meer veranderen om verdere errors te voorkomen!
You can in fact start the game by only changing two things in your regedit, but you have a lot more to change in order to avoid further errors!
Thanks alot,
Now i'm getting this problem with "Initializing"
It just sits on that, bf3.exe starts but it is just a white window, nothing else happens.
Does anyone have any Ideas?
For anyone with similar problems here is a set of possible fix's, these are collated from a bunch of different threads from various topics.
Startup crashes
If your game crashed on startup, browse to your My Documents or Documents folder and delete the Battlefield 3 Open Beta folder. Your game should stop crashing now.
Admin fix
- Set Origin to "start as admin"
- Set Program Files\Origin Games\Battlefield 3 Beta\Bf3.exe to "start as admin"
- Set your browser to "start as admin"
Now open up your browser ***without starting Origin first***
Go to battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/ and log in
Join a match. Let your browser start Origin for you.
Disable UAC
Another thing that might fix your problems is disabling the UAC in Windows.
Check disable+uac - Google Search [google.co.uk] on how to do so.
Cleaning cache and dns cache
Download CCleaner and clean up your Browsers Cache. This helped out for some people!
dns cache
Another thing that helped some people is clearing the DNS Cache.
Press the Start Menu Button > Type CMD in the searchbox and hit enter > Type ipconfig/flushdns in the command window and hit enter > Type exit and hit enter > Try to connect again after restarting your browser.
test battlelog is working
If you want to test if Battlelog works correct you can easily do this by: Clicking on the Com Center > Click the Create Party Button. If you do not see a party popping up next to your Com Center, something is stopping Battlelog from working prop. Please check if you are running any of the AV's or AS's mentioned above.
classic fix that may help
Browse to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc > Open Notepad with Admin Rights > Open the file called "host" (Drag and drop into notepad).
Copy and paste the following text into the host file:
127.0.0.1 gosredirector.com
127.0.0.1 gosgvaprod-qos01.com
127.0.0.1 gosiadprod-qos01.com
127.0.0.1 gossjcprod-qos01.com
127.0.0.1 demangler.com
127.0.0.1 vmp.tools.gos.com
Installing directx from the bf3 folder
None of these has helped yet, but they may help you,
So far i have found this problem is independent on your computer specifications, even people with maxed out specs seem to have this problem, any ideas?
