Wrong. When you agree to the terms of service upon installation of Origin you surrender those privacy rights. The TOS dictates what they can collect. In a court of law in the U.S., you'll lose every time if you try to fight that with privacy laws because you agreed to a TOS that explicitly allows what you're fighting against.

And I can guarantee the software it "looks" for is just system software and such. On top of which, EA's website and server are separate, they have data integration and communication but it's not all right there in black and white.
