Because some people like myself like to have a shit ton of apps and music.

Obviously any iPhone has jailbreak capabilities.

And anyway, It's cheaper to buy a phone with 1GB internal memory and an expandable memory slot of up to 32GB.

Which is why I haven't tossed my HD2 for the iPhone 4S yet.

The second apple puts in an SD slot and allows independent OS development (meaning using Apple's SDK not to create apps, but to create custom firmwares) is when I'll switch.

And you don't even need to "jaiibreak" an Android device to get all the things that an iPhone gets after a jailbreak.

By default, you can install cracked games. But why would you need to? Titles such as Angry Birds are free on the Android Market.
Android has Flash capabilites, for much more diverse web content.
You can install custom themes quite easily, just flash a new ROM.
You can overclock it, install tweaks, all by default.

The only thing you really have to do is root your phone, which is simpler than a jailbreak. All it requires is one click. No upgrading of software, downgrading of software, hacking basebands, or etc.

After flashing a ROM, your phone is unlocked by default.

Until the day Apple provides the user this much freedom, I'm sticking with HTC devices.

Why the fuck must you make me lol so much. I can have everything I need on an ipod touch 16gb. With 64, I'd be downloading anything I'd want. Unless it comes with a 32 gigabyte SD card, it's too expensive. SD cards that big aren't cheap.

From what I see, you can't customize it as well as a jailbreak can. Jailbreaks aren't even hard, they're easy as fuck. You can customize your shit just as much as BBs can, I would know. My brother has an android, so I have a reason why I'd hate.

With a jailbreak, you can add plug ins that completely change your experience. From the way the pages scroll, to the graphical interface.

By default you can install cracked games on BB too Big woop. Using angry birds as your prime example of why your OS is better? That's a .99 cent app that we could ALSO just get for free with a jailbreak.

Flash capabilities = longer page loading times. Rather stick with a simple browser, then use a flash browser when I want flash. So hard, right?

You have to flash a ROM to install a theme? All I have to do is go into cydia and find a theme, or just make my own.

You don't need to downgrade/upgrade to jailbreak /derp.


Done with this debate, it's just coming down to opinion. It's like fighting whether BF is better than CoD or not.
