They both got lots of bells and whistles if you ask me, I prefer my phone.
I prefer Android because it allows for a much larger range of customization.
On top of that, Android devices generally have better hardware, until the today's iPhone 4S's A5 chip.
Previously though, most Android phones had a 1GHz processor, not to mention some of the dual core devices, such as the Nexus S 4G's Tegra Dual Core chip.
As for the iOS, there are many more developers working on the creation of apps. This is simply because the iOS has been out for a much longer time, however.
Given the amount of time the iOS has been given to grow, I believe that Android could quickly overtake and dominate the mobile market.

Prefer IOS. More apps in store. Better design for me.
I like iOS because I have more exp. with it. I like the way that Androids look though, you know the backgrounds and stuff.
It matters what came out first.
