Good action-ish anime to watch.

I've seen almost every mainstream anime and/or I'm up to date with them, I'm looking for maybe a new on-going but ending soon, or below 50 episodes-ish anime that is unique and has something different about it compared to other animes. It doesn't have to exactly be action ethier, it can be supernatural or magic oh and please, no mecha. Please provide some information about the anime when posting.

Anime's I've seen or am still watching that are similar to what I'm looking for;

-Fairy Tale

-Gurren Lagann
-Evangelion
-FMA and the other series
-Inu Yasha
-D-Gray Man
-Majutsu No Index/Railgun
-High School Of The Dead
-Katekyo Hitman Reborn
-Shakugan No Shana 1/2 & waiting on 3
-Great Teacher Onizuka
-Others I can't remember off the top of my head

You may have noticed these are pretty well known titles and fairly old now, so I'm looking for pretty newly released animes, but they dont have to be new aslong as they are good.

To sum it all up the anime I'm looking for have to include some of these;
Interesting and good story, Unique system of combat, Pretty graphics(ikr)

Personally I like the Tenchi series, the Gundam series (classic Mobile Suit), and Trigun.

Two students go help a drunk who had fallen onto the track, and they were hit by the train and "died". But they wake up in an apartment room with other people who supposedly died and all of them must participate of Alien's hunt.

In the start is kinda meh, but if you still watch/read at the their third mission, the story itself gets much better, you won't be disappoint.

Oh cool...yeah, It's worthy to me. It was short, around 14 episodes if I remember right, but definitely to me...kinda romantic I guess too..a little bit lol.

Gantz is action, along with Berzerk i would reccomend.

PSG and Hellsing i would also reccomend.

Btw, don't watch gantz. It's FUCKED. Read it if you really want to.
Samurai champloo - Interesting plot and good fighting scenes. Sword fighting obviously.
Soul eater - Good fighting scenes. Decent plot.
Cowboy bebop - Although old, good fighting and plot.
Ao no exorcist - Good fighting but the plot was rushed a bit.
Deadman wonderland - Good fighting and action. Pretty cool plot. Varying fighting styles.

Gantz is the only Anime that I find to be compelling on its own, but the manga version is far better. I don't like the alterations they made in the anime.

Seen all of the ones you suggested roflmywaffle, except samurai.
I saw the hellsing OVA's, didn't really get into it.
