Go to steam library and right click on dead island, select properties and click on Local Files tab, you should something that says Verify integrity of game cache... click that and let it download the missing files. Hope this helps
Try rebbooting thatll fix it if not^that

For anyone having _x86_rwdi.exe problem you are probably installing the crack in the wrong folder.
The correct location for copying crack files is the “Dead Island” folder. The folder where you can see “DI” and “redist” folders. Don’t copy the crack in “DI” folder. You will get rwdi.exe error.
