Deleted topic?

The short of it is this:

A newbie posted a topic in Vindictus Discussions(granted it was wrong spot, should have been in help).

They were respectfully asking for help getting started using our hacks.

Paladin mis-interpreted the first line where they said "honestly I'm just looking to get some gold to buy armor". He assumed they were begging... But if you continued to read, they said "I just want some help getting started because this is all overwhelming". Which is very understandable in our section.

I quoted and said they weren't begging, and why. Then offered the help the newbie needed on how to go about getting started.

Then the topic vanished so it seems to have been deleted for basically no valid reason.

Was hoping this would get looked into and the topic restored so I can continue helping the new user instead of driving them away.

That's just sad honestly, in my opinion.
Sure I've got my moments where I treat people like dirt, but I do so accordingly; but if you're a member of staff it's my professional opinion that you should read the ENTIRE topic before you base your opinions on it's subject at hand. It's truly disconcerting to see that a member of MPGH's staff, especially someone that has been staff for a while now has done something so shamefully assumptive. He should have read the thread thoroughly, and then attempted to assist said individual, and instead of being helpful, as staff is required to do so he simply deleted the thread.
Honestly, it wouldn't even have hurt to move it to the appropriate section. I'm not sure if he was having an "off day" or not, but whatever the reason it's inexcusable to perform moderation actions without necessary reason, and if such is the case then that's just wrong, no if's and's or but's about it.
I agree with @DanK, I think that the thread should be restored so that we can continue to assist said member, and show them the warm welcoming side of our section that a lot of "leechers" don't get to see because they really ARE begging.

By the by, this is not a personal attack on the staff member that took disciplinary action on the thread, but more an argument of general purpose. It's the first thread that actually HAD relativity that has been deleted, and I don't perceive that as a fair action.

Wasn't the only topic that vanished I'd say but dunno which has gone as well, I was just wondering I became choob-rank again and then saw my postcount went down for almost 10 postings - idc 'bout that but because of this I'd say some things have been deleted and I wonder why ... Illuminati? ^__^

The thread was out of it's section and to me at 3 AM, appeared derailed. But whatever, Nico restored it.
