Advanced Cheat Engine uses [need help]

well, im a complete newb at hacking. the best i can do is change scores, health (numbers such as 100%), and ammo for guns. I want to go to the next level, and learn how to hack health bars, jump height, and speed.
I doubt ill get many answers from here, but anything will do.

to change your speed on cheat engine hit the speedhack button and change it to 3 -.-

lol, never noticed the speedhack there. but that still doesn't help... im guessing that will speed the whole game up. anyone know how to find complex values as speed and height of run/jump?

yea it just speeds up the game, everythings faster unless your on an internet game like Warrock, then it becomes a speedhack with instant ban.

gaa, its so hard to find answers. iv looked on many sites and all just tell you simple crap about lives and stuff. it must be possible to use Cheat Engine to change jump height, isn't there any type of program to open up a games system settings to find values?
