Queastion: banned from blackops = no mw3

Well as you read in the title, im curious if that, if you are vac-banned from BlackOps..

Will i be able to install/play mw3 on same steamaccount?

or should i just create new steamaccount?

if you are banned on black ops the ban will stay on that game
not on mw 3

but if you want to be completly sure just make a new account

as i'm not really into making a new account as i dont have any more email-adresses
and i've plenty of games on this account so..

but the reason im curious is, vac bans are for the engine, and not for only the game..

for example if i get banned on CSS (source engine) i also get banned for halflife2 u understand?

so i'm wondering if blops has same engine as mw3

bans are keycode related. you can install blops again with a new keycode on the same account, no shit happens.

What if I am banned from MW2?
I guess it will have no effect, because I heard that it is only Valve that bans by engine. So if you get banned from CSS you are also banned from half life, but if you get banned from CoD, then its ur cd key that is banned.
The second way is also smarter for the company, because its easier for the hacker to get a new copy of the game, which means that he is more likely to buy a second copy when he gets banned.

As nueker said they are associated with a keycode, I have a ban on MW2, but that doesn't effect any other games nor will it effect MW3.

Get a new steam, EITHER WAY, get a new steam.
Reasoning is:
- Steam can disable VAC banned accounts at any time
- VAC banned accounts are a bad rep
- VAC banned accounts have little to no re-sell value

Play it safe and make a new one.

Technically it shouldn't, but it's always safer to get a newer account. What Insane said. Just re-add all your friends, and whatnot, make a new account.
